The University of Missouri-St. Louis is a public metropolitan research university located in Missouri’s most populous and economically important region. As the largest university in the St. Louis area and the third-largest in Missouri, the University of Missouri-St. Louis has five libraries. The Thomas Jefferson Library, the St. Louis Mercantile Library, the State Historical Society Research Center, and the University Archives are located on the university’s north campus; the Ward E.
